International Programs Policy Statement

School Sport Australia endorses student participation in international sport programs in Australia and overseas.

Rationale

School Sport Australia supports this participation in order to:

  • Provide students and team officials with developmental pathways in that sport and enhance the understandings and opportunities for lifelong learning,
  • Enhance intellectual, social and cultural educational outcomes for students through its exposure to different cultures in contextual situations,
  • Build stronger partnerships with our NSO through the collaboration process and the elevated profile it generates,
  • Raise the profile of School Sport Australia in the government and corporate communities through greater knowledge of our core business.
